Running in early 30s

There are two or three different times each year that I spend a couple of hours and think about resolutions, usually write them down and get back to my notes every now and then. The main occasion is always my birthday.
As of two weeks ago, I stepped into my thirties. while I was looking at my last year's resolution I noticed that I am now in much better situation comparing to this time last year. A bold line on my resolution was about getting a better runner, but running a marathon was not something that I would plan last year.
This year as I started the fourth decade of my life, I decided to write down parts of my resolutions here. So I  will hardly forget these points and next year at this time, if I have missed any of these you can question me!

 Here they are in no particular order;

- Running my first Ultra.
- Running at least three marathons.
- Losing more weight.
- Strength workout, plyometrics, stretching and swimming more often.
- Adding Speedwork and hills sessions into my training.
- Hiking to the top of two major summits in Iran.
- Encouraging people to run.

P.S. Despite the fact that I am not in my late 20s any more, the blog name remains the same. Because as I noted in blog description late 20s is when I started running.

Eiger Ultra Trail 2014; 101km of mud, rocks and sweat

Just never give up" Dean Karnazas Last Saturday and Sunday I ran the Eiger Ultra Trail, a 101 km ultramarathon with more than 6700 metres of elevation gain. Swissalpine K78. On running my first ultra

Puff out your chest, put one foot in front of the other, and don't stop till you cross the finish line.”   Dean Karnazes Last week I made my way to Davos to run the Swissalpine K78. Davos is where I ran my first marathon last year and this year I was there to run my first ultra. Davos is the place where it all started. It's the place where I met many runners and heard their inspirational stories.   We arrived in Davos (That's Samer, a good friend of mine from Belgium who came to Davos to run the K21 and myself) on Thursday morning and went to the expo. Cappadocia ultra trail, the first DNF

Just a quick note on Cappadocia ultra trail. For the first time ever I had to drop out of a race. That happened at 77th km due to severe pain in shin area and dropping the body tempreature and shivering. DNF ( stands for Did Not Finish) really hurts. There are lessons to be learned and I'm going to write a detailed post on this one.
